How many of you, who like me, watched the grainy images as Neil Armstrong stepped on to the Moon can believe that it happened 50 years ago. How time flies! To help celebrate this anniversary, the Festival Committee has decided to honour the momentous event by having the theme for Festival Parade and Scarecrows as Space Travellers – fact or fiction.
And we are delighted to tell you that the European Space Agency has sent its best wishes for this year’s Festival.
The Programme is once again very full, and I would suggest that you buy your event tickets as early as possible as they sell out very quickly. To help alleviate this problem our two main evening events, The Barn Dance and Elvis (yes, he’s back) will take place in the larger Junior School Hall, St. Mary’s Drive, so that we can accommodate more people.
Finally, I would like to thank the hard-working Committee, The Festival Makers and other groups staging events who help make our Annual Festival the great occasion it is.
Enjoy, have fun, and feel part of our friendly seaside village. A happy Festival to you all!
